How did the recent serotonin depression study become a political issue? Who should you believe?
I remember a time when the rolling stone magazine was just about, well, music. Several years ago, however, mainstream media publications reached a turning point where they realized that teens and young adults became more political. Left-wing magazines would have to adapt to keep loyal viewership. The rolling stone article “Who Is the Psychiatrist Behind the Antidepressant Study Taking Over Right-Wing Media?” would have never been written 20-25 years ago. The article informs readers that the psychiatrist is also a covid vaccine conspiracy theorist. Furthering the left portrayal of the right-wing as lunatic conspiracy theorists. Likewise, the right continues to believe belief in self-determination and paints the right as codependent not only on the government for all issues but now big pharma industry. So who is right? How in the hell did the serotonin depression study become a political issue? Who should you believe?
I will keep it simple without boring you with in-depth info about the recent study that denotes no link between low serotonin levels and depression. The left is using science when it benefits them. For instance, the right refuses to acknowledge what a woman is despite science and biology telling us. Yet, they are using it to explain how the serotonin depression study is more complex than what was lead to believe. This is confirmation bias at its finest. However, the right is telling the left to follow the money; as much as the right wants to talk bad about the rich, they ignore it regarding the government and big pharma, who make billions off of the people’s codependency.
Humanity has survived millions of years of natural disasters, famines, and wild animals; you name it. All without a pill. It doesn’t mean mental health issues were nonexistent either. If our bodies haven’t evolved to be sedentary on the internet all day being entertained, it probably hasn’t evolved to take a pharmaceutical pill to compensate for our dangerous daily habits. But there is something the left can learn.
While Tucker is right in that ” Drugs are not the answer to every human problem”, it is an answer to some. Not just with pharmaceuticals, but take microdosing for instance. Microdosing psilocybin has proven effective in treating depression and other mental health issues. Not only that, but some studies show that it is even MORE effective than SSRIs. Psilocybin is a mushroom found in mother nature that your GOD put here. It’s not a pharmaceutical lab-made drug either. So to those on the far right, I implore you to offer a scientifically proven solution that was put here by GOD. It is solution-based; the government does not regulate it, yet, all the things you love.
In conclusion, microdosing would be the few things that could unite the left and right for once. It’s a more effective natural remedy than “drugs”. Rather than continue dividing the people, Independent thinkers such as this website should focus on solutions that would unite rather than trying to be proven right all the time. The serotonin depression study is the least expected but not surprising issue that continues to divide America.
