The devil wore prada, now it wears nike? lil nas x Nike shoe
Pop culture preys on the ignorance of the youth, and the adults who haven’t matured mentally yet. Within the last several decades we’ve seen a sharp decline in the quality of mainstream rap music. The craft isn’t taken as seriously as it used to be. Easier access to create music has lead to an overpopulated genre of music. As a result, in order to standout artists have to create shock value to garner attention. While this is nothing new, the shock factor often has nothing to do with the quality of the music. The lack of quality music is hidden by the shock factor. Let’s discuss the devil wore Prada, now it wears Nike? The spiritual war of the feet and lil nas x Nike shoe.
“A student or follower in a spiritual tradition of higher truth, a disciple of a spiritual teacher, master, saint or guru, or the devotee of a particular deity or lord can express humility, surrender, devotion, deference, dedication and love by worshiping, contemplating or meditating upon the lotus feet of his chosen spiritual teacher, etc. In these ways, communion with the divine is established.”
The Sublime Essence of the Lotus Feet-
While Nike isn’t taking sole responsibility for Lil nas x nike shoes, they’re not denying it either. The spirituality of the feet is prevalent in early Christianity and Hindu culture, even to this day. Will viewers bow to temptations of the material world via the devil or humble themselves to detach? With social media, our society is expressing less genuine humility than ever before. Celebrity worship and materialism go hand in hand. Lil Nas x is obviously too young to understand the ramifications of his decision to give the devil a lap dance.
The shock value will not only cover up the lack of musical craftsmanship but the significance of the feet. The eyes are commonly referred to as the windows of the soul but the feel leads us there. Our feet are often neglected by nature and are imprisoned by the latest fashionwear. Our society looks at feet in terms of shoes rather than a spiritual meaning. We walk around all day not mindful of where the energy is accumulated in our soles. Just like we scroll endlessly on the internet so is our relationship with our own spirituality, thoughtless.
We told readers that Nike wants your black dollars and now they want you to wear satans shoes. The authenticity of corporate activism should always be in question as by nature it’s a business. In one message we are telling kids to be like Kapernick, literally with just do it. Now, Nike is greenlighting satan shoes. If the artist doesn’t want to take responsibility for how they influence children, Nike already has.
Lil Nas X’s response to his controversial video is that artists aren’t responsible for raising your children. Apparently, this statement is the go-to cop-out for athletes and entertainers. It allows them to compromise on their morals and integrity as human beings. I have not watched the video and don’t intend to. Clearly, Lil nas X A&R saw an opportunity for him to completely 180 degrees switch his wholesome cowboy image. We’ve seen this time and time again.
In conclusion, lil nas x nike shoe will generate the usually satanic ritual debate associated with the music industry. Yet we encourage readers to take inventory of their humility towards a spiritual teacher and themselves rather than worship materialism.

The fact that you have no interest in viewing the video or in fully listening to what the artist has to say and why he feels it must be said makes me question your motives.
Li’l Nas X wrote and promoted his video as a response to organized religion’s view that homosexuality (or for that matter any sexual orientation other than heterosexual) is sinful and akin to Satan.

Thats fine but in my opinion there are better ways to get that message across. Creating a shock value video to trigger religious freaks won’t create a space for discussion but in fact the opposite. However with that being said. My intention of the article was to give an ancient history light on the sacredness of the foot/of feet in contrast to this shock video that won’t prompt people to look it up.
