Here’s how an Amtrak ride may cure your cell phone addiction
I’m heading home from a 1,800 mile trip across the country from Yellowstone national park. After spending 80 hours round trip on Amtrak, I found a cure for cell phone addiction.
No matter how cheesy the amtrak attendant’s jokes were on the train, its beats alexa any day of the week. Self driving cars are becoming more of a reality daily.
However, while getting to a-z is the goal, the destination is just as important as the journey. As Someone who hates small talk I admired the attempts at humor during a cross country train ride.

“Do they have wifi?”
“Trains are so slow”

We use social media not to challenge our beliefs and ideologies but to strengthen our faith in them. During this 7 day amtrak trip , I encountered no black tourist within my age group. I told someone on the train I was coming from Yellowstone and I was told i had big balls. I was also asked did I feel uncomfortable being the only black person around thousands of white people? No..
While the less popular of the 3 modes of travel, amtrak may want to consider a soft cell phone addiction cure approach to their marketing. The senior citizens are already apart of their demographic and they rarely use social media.
