A new Gallop poll shows disbelief in GOD is at an all-time high, while morality is at an all-time low
Apparently, we don’t need god anymore. As 5g and A.I. continue to provide and solve our first-world problems, we find no need for faith. Why should we trust something we can’t see when we’re one of the most powerful countries the world has ever seen? Quite simply, the concept of an unseen God is outdated, patriarchal, sexist, murderous, enabled slavery, and turned a blind eye to all the horrifying events that cost millions of lives. We longer have to work, nor do we want to work unfortunately as our ancestors did to build this country. In our collective society, the unconscious mind stepped away from building a heaven on earth via type one civilization. The problems of the bible, slavery, being alone in the wilderness, famines, and war haven’t been an issue on American soil for at least a century. But there’s a catch, what about our morals?. A new Gallop poll shows disbelief in GOD is at an all-time high, while morality is at an all-time low.
To be clear, while the gallop poll tracked disbelief in god, it did not track belief in morality. But do you really need a poll to see the moral degradation of society? Have we gained the world of 5G and technology only to lose our soul? It appears to be that way. Fear-based news and fear of missing out have caused us to integrate our phones and technology more into our personal lives to the point of obsession. Before undertaking a task we would put God before everything and have faith that things would work out. Sure that came with trial and error but such is life. But how did we get to this point?
There are several reasons, ideological subversion, technology, and cultural narrative. Ideological subversion is a Russian tactic used to dismantle a society from within without physically fighting. There are steps that include taking god away, making a country fight against its own nationalism, and decreasing the morals of a society. The breeding grounds were young college students, which makes perfect sense as according to the poll, young liberals were the biggest group to turn away from God. .
Thirdly, the cultural narrative amongst the young is that religion is patriarchal and sexist, while this may be true to an extent it’s somewhat irrelevant. What this is doing is throwing the baby out with the bath water. What people do is take the worst aspects of the bible, explain them out of context and use this to justify why you shouldn’t follow it. In an instant gratification generation, this will work because no one is going to fact-check. Furthermore, most nonfree thinkers are victims of confirmation bias. Social media algorithms are designed to show you more of what you already believe. How we feel about the history of the religion and what historical figures have used it to gain power has nothing to do with the morals and principles stated throughout the book.
The early Christian monks and the millions of Buddhists and monks before them preached the importance of taming our sexual energy. Once we open the floodgates of sexual energy in society, crime, violence, and sexual crimes increase. Even with the disbelief in GOD included, addiction to porn and sex causes us to objectify our own human species. Therefore, if leaving our sexual urges untamed causes us to not see the humanity in others, it would be default cause us to not see the divinity in GOD.
In conclusion, how bad does society have to get for us to start believing in god again? Do we need more mass shootings? Are more children committing gun violence? We are thriving and normalizing chaos. But this chaos wouldn’t exist without the foundation of GOD-like principles in the first place. Many of the issues we complain about are a result of god and the hard work it took to get here. There is no alternative to GOD or nature or planet earth, so let’s act like it and express more gratitude.
