Every single deadly sin is now easily more available than ever before thanks to A.I. via an App.
If forced to choose, A.I. would be most comparable to food out of the 7 other deadly sins. Like food, it is easily accessible in most countries. The same device that you spend hours looking at a screen could be the same device that saves your life during an emergency.
Data is collected to manipulate the consumer giving A.I. an advantage on the temptation competition with our other urges and desires. Unhealthy food will always be marketed in new ways to look appetizing. Likewise, A.I. continuously will update and improve to keep your attention. Even if it cost you little to no money, the actual time you’ve spent on apps show they take up a major portion of our time.
Apps are designed to hypnotize users with the “almost win”. Incentives, and other psychological tricks such as free tokens after dying to keep the user hooked as well. Social media and apps have undeniably changed how we live our lives while changing the chemistry of our brains.
